While open water will always be my first love, ‘Between the Lines’ is a celebration of the simple pleasure of swimming in a pool. Created after a week in the Mediterranean, where I spent my days enjoying the outdoor pool and the sunshine, this four-layer reduction linocut captures the patterns and subtle movements of water as seen from the water’s edge. It’s a reminder that, whether swimming in the vastness of the sea or the cool, clear water of a pool, there’s something special about being immersed in water and taking a moment to simply enjoy it.
